The Life Force of my Poetry

Written in 2024/SEP

I wish I had you home with me
I’d trace your lines of poetry
And memorise each breath released
The life force of my poetry
My inspiration holding me

I’d exalt you in calligraphy
Ornate borders, vivid imagery
Punctuated by your heartbeat
By the life force of my poetry
My inspiration holding me

I wish I had you home with me
I miss that kind of poetry
My volumes gather incomplete
When I’m writing from a memory
Of the life force of my poetry
My inspiration holding me

About Me

I’m Jacqueline and I’m originally from Western Australia but now I live in Adelaide. I advocate for Australians living with FND, and I hope to return to live poetry performance in the future.

I made this blog because I wanted to share my poems with other people. I’m also working on longer projects, but this website is just for my smaller projects at the moment.

I hope to make a living out of writing someday which is why I’ve put the donation button on this website.
