Taurus

Written in 2023/AUG

I looked at the forecast
and caught wind in August
that all of his stories weren’t true.

So why didn’t they warn us?
Just sang the devil’s chorus
while they watched as he tore us in two.
The Taurus that fell for his ruse.

I walked on the warpath,
I tried to change your heart
but it was just too hard to do.

So I sat in the carpark
and cried in the dark
as I gave up the past that I knew.
‘Til his Taurus rolled out of my view.

About Me

I’m Jacqueline and I’m originally from Western Australia but now I live in Adelaide. I advocate for Australians living with FND, and I hope to return to live poetry performance in the future.

I made this blog because I wanted to share my poems with other people. I’m also working on longer projects, but this website is just for my smaller projects at the moment.

I hope to make a living out of writing someday which is why I’ve put the donation button on this website.
